Junior Climate Corps
For the 2025-26 school year we are hosting a 12-week Junior Climate Corps afterschool program for middle school-aged students!
What We'll Explore
Students will participate in hands-on activities and field studies that deepen their understanding of climate change, urban greening, California native plants, pollinators, and all there is to know how to be a steward of the land we live on!
Logistics
Dates: Every Wednesday from March 4th to May 20th (except for Spring Break on April 8th)
March: 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th
April: 1st, 15th, 22nd, 29th
May: 6th, 13th, 20th
Time: Students will check-in with a CREEC staff member at the Carquinez Middle School Garden after the final bell and be walked as a group down to CREEC.
Parent pick-up is between 3:00pm and 4:00pm.

Green Industry Skills Academy
Green Industry Skills Academy
Starting up in March, we're bringing back the popular High School Vocational Program - the Green Industry Skills Academy!
What We'll Learn
Academy trainees will gain essential skills in landscaping, horticulture, environmental science, habitat restoration, and research. By immersing themselves in the green industries, students experience firsthand the challenges and rewards of working in environmental fields, empowering them to pursue careers that contribute positively to our planet.
Logistics
Dates: Sundays from March 8th to May 10th (except for April 5th and 12th, for Spring Break and Easter)
March: 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th
April: 19th, 26th
May: 3rd, 10th
Time: Trainees should arrive on site at CREEC by 10:00am and stay until 2:00pm. Lunch is provided!
Cost: FREE!

Saturday Docents
Join us at CREEC for our Saturday Docent Program, running from March to October, where skilled docents engage visitors every Saturday from 10 AM to 2 PM. This program offers a fantastic opportunity for families to explore the beauty of our property while participating in fun and educational children’s activities. The docents are knowledgeable about the local environment and can lead guided tours, sharing fascinating insights into the flora and fauna of the area. Whether your child is discovering nature through hands-on learning or families are enjoying a guided adventure, the Saturday Docent Program fosters a love for the outdoors and a deeper understanding of our natural world. Don’t miss out on this enriching experience!
